With much gratitude to all those who donated to my Birthday Fundraisers at OneTreePlanted.org and on Facebook, I am proud to announce that as of today, there will be 366 Trees Planted in honor and memory of Hearts & Souls lost to Covid-19. This is a gift from my heart to the families who are grieving the loss of their dear ones. 

Leaving this legacy for their families is a beautiful way to honor those who have suffered and passed away during this pandemic.  When we plant a tree, we are creating a beautiful living, breathing gift of nature that will hopefully live on for many years to come.

At some point I would like to start a fundraiser to plant a tree in honor of every life lost due to Covid-19. It could be at least a quarter of a million trees around the world! It would make a huge difference on this planet earth for hundreds of years to come.

During these challenging times be sure to take a moment to breathe, and remember your special daily words and affirmations that will bring you peace, harmony and equanimity. I have noticed for me having a daily ritual seems more important than ever during this new life chapter we are all enduring one day at a time. I highly recommend giving it a try. Happy International Women’s Day 2020!

This Digital Heart Art Creation of “Quan Yin” ~ The Goddess of Loving-Kindness and Compassion, is my “Queen” inspiration on a daily basis. This photo was taken a few years ago, while visiting a beautiful Wolf Sanctuary & Retreat Center near Sedona, Arizona.

This statue of Quan Yin has been on this sacred property for decades, and with the exception of her head rising up from the earth, the rest of the statue is buried underground. According to the Retreat & Sanctuary Guide, the Spirits have requested to never unearth the entire statue of Quan Yin, it must remain as is.

I was thrilled to discover this image and have the opportunity to take this unique photograph of Quan Yin. I am inspired to share Loving-Kindness and Compassion on a daily basis to all those who I meet along my path. I doubt she ever felt like a failure, since her mission in existence was to comfort all those she came in contact with. A Queen has a mission to be respected and loved, and to do that one must be confident, courageous, and practice giving and receiving Loving-Kindness & Compassion at all times.

Happy Leap Year & Leap Year Day! I wondered about people born in a leap year, if and when they celebrate their Birthdays on the off years? Of course I had to google it, and found out one of their nicknames is “Leaplings” and they either choose to only celebrate on their actual birth date in the Leap Years, or they pick the day before or day after! At first it seemed as if every presidential election fell on a Leap Year, but that is not true. Leap Years only fall on the years that are divisible by 4. This is my favorite time of year! I love going on “Heart Hunts” to see all the universal symbol of love items displayed around town for the pure joy of it and inspiration! I also love selling my ZEN Heart Art Creations for Valentine’s Day here in Sedona, AZ at the Sedona Artist Market. 

I am excited to share that beginning today I have planned a new project for this Heart Month…..I will create a Digital ZEN Heart painting each day! It’s been a few years since I did my 365 ZEN HEARTS Project, so it’s time to add more ZEN HEARTS to my collection, since customers seem to love them!

Decades!

Another decade has come to a close! In some ways a decade seems like a really long period of time, but as I think more profoundly about the time span in one’s life, we may be lucky enough to experience 8 or 9 decades, or approximately an average of 28,000+ days of life. The sound of 2020 is exciting and futuristic to me! It seems like it took a long time to get here! I am still waiting for one invention to arrive in this 21st Century…..that would be “beaming from place to place, via energetic forces and frequencies”, a new way to tune into our GPS, without driving, going to airports, or any other physical form of transportation. I’m not holding my breath for this invention, but maybe by the 22nd Century which begins in the year 2100! Unless some miracles occur I can say with certainty I won’t be living another 80 years to experience “beaming” with my own senses!

We all know the classic song Auld Lang Syne which is sung every New Year, but most of us have no clue what the lyrics mean! We drunkenly sing the words, mostly adding our own words or attempting to sing the lyrics to the sweet melody. It seems every year (including this one) I google what the lyrics are trying to convey! I get the concept, toasting to good ole friends, etc. We all might remember the classic movie scene on New Years Eve with Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal in “When Harry Met Sally”, as they try to figure out what the lyrics of Auld Lang Syne mean.

So, in the past few weeks just for fun I have been working on creating some of my own lyrics for the Auld Lang Syne melody. I will share them in this blog….and if so inclined feel free to sing along to the sweet melody of Auld Lang Syne.

Maybe in this New Year I might create some new melody to go along with my lyrics! I will share it next New Years Eve for all to sing along! In the meantime, let me once again wish you a Happy New Year and New Decade!
